Counselor / Social Worker

 

Tyler earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. His professional experience spans various mental health and relational roles, including work with YoungLife, the Boys and Girls Club, long-term mental health inpatient care for teenage girls, and behavioral support in schools. In addition to his work at Midtown, Tyler also serves as a behavioral specialist at Holland Christian Middle School.

 

At Midtown, Tyler places emphasis on fostering safe, non-judgmental spaces where individuals feel free to express their true selves. Tyler believes that for therapeutic healing to occur, is essential to build deep trust and connection. Tyler's work dives into how biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors intertwine to shape the lives of individuals. This integrative approach aims to serve and support people from all walks of life.
